Prophetic Message-
Recently I received a vision from the Lord of a person picking a cherry out of a body of water. I knew I needed to paint this and seek the Lord to understand it more. The body of water represents the living water of the word of God and what happens when we choose to accept the nicer, feel-good scriptures and neglect to consider the harder topics in God’s word, is spiritual bondage. Spiritual bondage, like a ripple in water, continues to spread out and our spiritual eyes become blind. Cherry picking is a phrase used to describe someone taking the best portions of something without accepting the full picture because they don’t like or want the challenge. With God’s word, there are many hard things to consider and we need God’s help to understand and accept what is difficult for us to believe, especially by society’s standards today.
The scripture the Lord gave me for this painting is Proverbs 3:5-6 ““Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on. your own understanding; in all your ways submit to. Him, and He will make your paths straight.“
When we acknowledge and submit in humility that we might be understanding something in the bible incorrectly, we allow him to make our paths straight and bring freedom to our lives. The truth makes us free and partial truth does the opposite. It puts us in spiritual bondage and ultimately causes a separation from the Lord. Let’s consider God’s word completely even if we don’t like something or can’t understand it.To do this we simply need to ask God where we have been spiritually blinded by cherry picking. Pray for a few days and wait for his response. He will bring clarity and understanding when we truly desire His perspective. His ways are higher than our own the bible says, and we should surrender to the truth that sets us free. God is giving this word as a warning and encouragement to liberate us from the enemy’s trap of partial truth.
